Little Spiderhunter
Durga RF, Karkala.
Last weekend birding along with Dr.Dinesh Singal and Ramit Singal.
Rare record sighting of the day "Velvet fronted nuthatch" from Karkala .
I had to use the manual focus in low light and when there are clutter.
Low light, they are quick and undergrowth!
Road inside rainforest.
Muniyal, foot hills of Western ghats a low land ever green forest. I am
yet explored this area..
Red Spurfowl .
In our area we hardly get to see them in open . Heavy rain in the past
days might have made this guy desperately look for food. Little brave,
this guy showed up in open. Hard to frame them while moving. Early
morning light, I could manage this with 1/80 sec, ISO 400.
Ashy wood swallow @ Karkala
Rain here never lets you go out, some how I managed this . Samee too
enjoyed the walk in rain along with me, at our backyard.

Re-worked on the previous image, took different steps in post processing.
I was trying to get the focus on the bird and get the off focused plants
behind which the Cinnamon bittern was hiding. Looked at the BW version
of the original, felt this is much better.

Malabar whistling thrush holding on to Leech. We observed the thrush for
almost 10 -15mins, it had hard time to kill.
